Target Audience:

Professionals working with victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse.

Aim of the Course:

To learn and understand the dynamics within domestic abuse relationships, looking specifically at the different typologies and occasions where there are dual allegations. You will learn how to identify who is the perpetrator and look at case studies to show what questions should be asked. This training will also cover areas of power and control, coercive control, and how to work with minimisation and denial.

Resources discussed in the webinar will be made available following the sessions, including the presentation.

Learning Outcomes:

  • To understand perpetrator typologies and practical application of typologies in identification and risk assessment.
  • To increase identification of and response to perpetrators of domestic abuse.
  • Understand how to engage and work with perpetrators of domestic abuse.
  • To increase confidence in information sharing and multi-agency working.
