Z Learning Hub - Transitional Safeguarding Feb 2020

Date & Time:

Tuesday 18 February 2020 (13:00 - 15:30)

Venue:

Hemel Hempstead Library, Hemel Hempstead, The Forum, Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1DN

Detail:

This forum is aimed at front line practitioners in all agencies in Hertfordshire that have a role in keeping children and adults safe.

Transitional safeguarding is a term used by Research in Practice to recognise the developmental needs of older teenagers transitioning into adulthood. Many young adults will not qualify for a safeguarding response as they do not  have an identified care and support need, yet evidence shows that they can experience a range of harms and threats which can lead to increased adversity overtime.  This learning hub will provided a two-way feedback loop between front line practitioners and the strategic safeguarding boards, ensuring learning on this issue so we can develop an approach which not only protects but also prepares young people for their adult lives.
